Zonder Family Law was founded in 2003 as a niche family law boutique by Lisa R. Zonder, an 18-year attorney veteran and Certified Family Law Specialist since 1999. Lisa R. Zonder, Esq., Lead Counsel

Lisa R. Zonder has been practicing law since 1991 and founded Zonder Family Law in 2003. Throughout her career, Lisa has handled the divorces of celebrity clients, biotech, high tech industry professionals, teachers, doctors, business owners, a judge, high profile musicians, Wall Street bankers, social workers, homemakers, and stay-at-home mothers and fathers.

A native of New York, Lisa received departmental awards in Political Science, her chosen major in college. After completing only three years of college, Lisa was accepted on an early admission basis ("Accelerated Entry Program") before the age of 19 to law school. After that, she completed her Juris Doctor in 1990 and went on to work for a 25-attorney family law firm in Los Angeles.

Lisa has been certified by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization as a Specialist in Family Law, since 1999. She is a member of: the International Association of Collaborative Professionals, Association of Certified Family Law Specialists (prior); the San Diego County Bar Association Certified Family Law Specialists; the Bar Association of North San Diego County Certified Family Law Specialists. Being informed and sharing legal insight with the community is important to Lisa. She has served as a guest instructor at the University of San Diego ("USD") for their paralegal Legal Research class, has lectured on the topics of divorce, and served as Chair of the Family Law Committee of the Bar Association of North San Diego County. She is also an author of legal articles published nationwide.

Jillian Oportus, Esq., Associate Attorney

Jillian Oportus has been practicing law since 2008. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law, and her Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley. During law school, Jill volunteered with the Family Law Facilitator's Office and the SDVLP Domestic Violence Clinic, and interned with a San Diego Family Court judge. In 2007, she received the Bonnie Reading Memorial Scholarship for her commitment to family law.

Veronica Franco, Senior Paralegal

Veronica Franco has served as a family law paralegal since 1996. She has experience with Legal Solutions, Timeslips, Dissomaster, intake of new clients, administration, and discovery. Veronica Franco completed her Paralegal Certificate with Kelsey Jenney College in Miramar in 1998, and plans to attend law school in the near future.
